In August 2009, Stowe Hill Workshop was formed by ex-employees of Stowe Hill Marine and took over the operation of the Dry dock, offering a comprehensive boat fitting and repair service, with the dry dock at the core of their operation.
Rugby Boat Sales, a well established boat brokerage business took over the original shop and waterfront, and expanded their operations, including offering full canal side services (Diesel, Pump out, Calor gas and solid fuel).
Management of the site and mooring basin reverted back to Duncan Edwards, the original proprietor of the site back in 1976.
Since 2009, substantial investment has been made into the Marina, with a comprehensive dredging and bank protection programme undertaken. Installation of new electrical hook ups has been undertaken, with automatic dusk to dawn lighting for improved safety and convenience, and upgrading of mooring pontoons to make easier and safer access to moorings.
Because the mooring space is limited, the marina offers a very private and intimate haven of peace and quiet. Social events are held from time to time, the main one being the annual Bonfire party on or around November 5th.
